This Woman Believed that She Was Just Suffering from Serious Menstrual Cramps. But Doctors Discovered That It Is a More Serious Condition!

Women can undergo a lot of complications with their health, especially their reproductive health. Due to the fact that they are the ones giving birth, they have a higher risk of getting different conditions affecting their reproductive system.

Aside from HPV, which has been an issue for years now, women are also at risk of acquiring Polycystic Ovarion Syndrome (PCOS).

Though PCOS is not deadly, it affects women by making it difficult for them to bear children. It can also affect a woman’s period by making it more painful for them. Other effects include excessive hair all over the body and weight gain.

PCOS is not curable but it is treatable by regularly taking medication. However, some women experience the worst symptoms and need to undergo surgery in order to get rid of the cysts inside their ovaries.

Netizen Caren Ramos Cortez shared her experience with PCOS. Unfortunately, her condition developed into Ovarian Endometrioma/Ovarian Cyst which is "a benign, estrogen-dependent cyst found in women of reproductive age. Infertility is associated with ovarian endometriomas; although the exact cause is unknown, oocyte quantity and quality are thought to be affected."

In short, the cysts inside her ovaries grew to a large size and had to be removed through surgery.
